Here’s where it started.

Before a major consulting firm came in to assess our business, I told our VP of Operations exactly what they would find: no master data governance, no plant-level policies, siloed departments throwing problems over the wall and expecting whoever was downstream to absorb them.

Four weeks and six figures later, the consultants delivered exactly that.

Two things became obvious. An operator inside the business could see the answer in a single conversation. And yet — the consultants’ word carried more weight than the people who’d been saying the same thing for years. Worse, even after the consultants said it, nothing changed. Recommendations were accepted in the room and ignored after.

A 15+ year supply chain leader, Volak has spent his career inside Fortune 500 manufacturers and global consumer brands — running multi-site materials management, leading on-time global SAP ERP implementations across four countries, and delivering over $30 million in cost savings and inventory reductions across manufacturing, CPG, dairy, beverages, and specialty chemicals.

His expertise spans SAP, IBP, S&OP, demand and supply planning, master data governance, PFEP deployment, and end-to-end supply chain transformation. He holds a Six Sigma Green Belt and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.

AxisVI is the firm he built to put that operator’s perspective to work for other companies — closing the gap between consultants who describe problems and operators who fix them.
